MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is a way of focussing our attention and awareness on the present moment and by doing so we can become aware of our internal thoughts, feelings and emotions and our external environment. The practice of mindfulness can allow us to notice things we have taken for granted, bringing a new sense of awareness and enjoyment to the everyday. It allows us to make the connections between our thoughts and feelings and how they might drive our behaviours and in turn allow us to break unhelpful patterns and habits.

The MINDFULNESS NOW eight week programme

The Mindfulness Now eight week programme is a unique mind/body programme incorporating a fusion of key elements from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

This programme is offered both on a one to one basis, meaning it can be tailored to suit your individual needs and as weekly in person group taking place twice a year in March and September. WHAT WILL THE COURSE COVER?

During the course you will learn formal mindfulness meditations as well as informal mindfulness practices that can be integrated into your daily experiences. You will learn how to engage all of your senses and how to focus your attention, developing the ability to chose how you react in situations instead of being caught up in autopilot.

The programme also includes gratitude and compassion practices, breath work and creating awareness of your body through mindful movement and body scan techniques. If learning the programme on a one to one basis it can also be adapted to your specific needs, e.g. pain management, stress reduction etc,

Group Programme £250 for eight sessions (please note there is a minimum attendance of four people for the course to go ahead).
